Celebrating 25 Years of ITL and Our Ongoing Collaboration

Proud Engineers had the pleasure of joining the 25th anniversary celebration of the Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications (ITL) at the beautiful Lillepaviljon. The event was a powerful reminder of the leadership and influence that Estonia’s ICT sector continues to have, both locally and globally.

Looking back, we’re proud of the role our founder, Taavi Kotka, played in shaping this journey during his presidency of ITL from 2009 to 2012. Those were transformative years that helped define the digital direction Estonia is known for today.

Today, Proud Engineers is an active member of both ITL and the ICT Cluster. This membership gives us valuable opportunities to contribute to the development of the sector and to help bring Estonian digital solutions to international markets. ITL also offers a unique platform for close collaboration with our partners, including constructive dialogue among competing companies — something that makes Estonia’s tech community truly special.

We are especially grateful to Doris Põld, CEO of ITL, and Jana Silaškova, Head of Internationalization and e-Government, for their leadership and continued support.

Here’s what Jana shared about our collaboration:

“Proud Engineers is a powerhouse of digital transformation expertise, spanning policy-making, law, architecture, and technology. Their contributions to our workshops and projects – whether for international organizations like the Union for the Mediterranean or development institutions such as GIZ – consistently receive outstanding feedback. We are honoured to have Proud Engineers as our member and active contributor, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration to advance digital societies worldwide with Estonian know-how.”

We’re excited to continue working alongside ITL and our fellow members to shape the next chapter of digital innovation in Estonia and beyond.
