Proud Engineers had the honor of welcoming a high-level delegation from Armenia for an in-depth exchange on Estonia’s globally recognized digital governance model.
The purpose of the visit was to explore real-world examples of digital transformation, understand how Estonia’s solutions could be adapted in Armenia, engage with key public agencies, learn about cybersecurity practices, and discover how artificial intelligence is being used in government services.
Over three intensive days, we shared insights, held meaningful discussions, and built strong connections.
The visit began at the e-Estonia Briefing Centre with an overview of Estonia’s digital journey. This was followed by working sessions at the Proud Engineers office, where Taavi Kotka, Andres Kütt, and Igor Bossenko shared their experiences with digital transformation and building sustainable e-health ecosystems.
In the following days, the delegation visited various government institutions to learn about specific digital initiatives. These included digital taxation and customs automation, AI-driven services at the Unemployment Insurance Fund, and developments in Estonia’s digital court system. Each session offered practical insights into how technology can improve public services.
We were especially pleased to host Mr. Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, along with Deputy Minister Gevorg Mantashyan and Nerses Yeritsyan, head of Armenia’s State Information System Authority. Their perspective and engagement enriched every conversation.
Thank you to our partners at the e-Estonia Briefing Centre, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, the Estonian Centre for International Development (ESTDEV), the State Information System Authority, and SK ID Solutions for their support.
Special thanks also to our CEO Laura Kask and expert Hille Hinsberg for their role in making the visit a success.
The exchange of knowledge and experience during this visit marks an important step toward future cooperation and innovation in digital governance.
